Description:
Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for the financial and business functions of the Institute for Prevention.
Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial reports including quarterly reports for the state and grant funders on CIMS financial reporting system.
Develop, implement and ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
Document and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable and petty cash.
Oversee all payroll functions to ensure employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner in E-time payroll system.
Establish guidelines for budget and forecast preparation and create revisions when necessary.
Assist in all grant budget applications including all new grants and renewals.
Generate and track invoices on QuickBooks.
Assist in the monthly close with accountant including journal entries and departmental tie in through PeopleSoft and NVision reporting applications.
Oversee administrative functions of IFP with the Director.
Prepare all supporting information for annual audits.
Oversee all consultant and vendor agreements including W9 s, Contracts, payments.
Approve and process requisitions for supplies and equipment purchases through purchase orders.
Requirements:
Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Proficiency in accounting, excel spreadsheets, QuickBooks, PeopleSoft and internet.
3-5 years related financial experience.
Bachelor s Degree required.
Financial grant and non-profit experience necessary.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
