Communications Operator Per Diem Evenings
Description:
Operate telephone console.
Answers, screens and transfers Channel calls to appropriate department.
Pages doctors, authorized personnel and activates pagers.
Retrieves patient phone numbers, pager and personal numbers from computer.
Processes Emergency calls and trouble alarms accurately and efficiently.
Assists patients and departments with dialing outside phone calls.
Patient Telephone Service.
Provides dialing instructions for patients, phone service, and logs phone repairs.
Delivers and retrieves patient phone amplifiers after logging such.
Overhead page meetings, drills hospital functions and security announcements.
Flexible allowed 30 hours a week if needed Requirements:
High school graduate preferred.
Telephone operator experience helpful but not necessary.
Command of the English language.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
