Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients - Obtain and update patient insurance information in the system - Process insurance claims and follow up on any denials or discrepancies - Assist patients with insurance inquiries and provide information on coverage and benefits - Coordinate with medical providers to ensure accurate coding and billing - Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information - Collaborate with the billing department to resolve any insurance-related issues - Stay up-to-date with changes in insurance regulations and coding requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a dental office setting - Proficiency in medical terminology and coding, including ICD-9 - Knowledge of managed care plans and insurance verification processes - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling insurance information - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work effectively in a team environment - Familiarity with medical records management and HIPAA regulations Job Types:
