3 14 hours ago Full Job Description The Position The Nursing Clinical Instructor is responsible and accountable to the Assistant Dean of Nursing and works in team fashion with the Director of Clinical Instruction and section leader.
The Nursing Clinical Instructor is responsible for planning, implementation, and evaluation of student practice in the clinical and College laboratory.

Semester Based What You Will Do 1.
Provides clinical and college laboratory instruction.
2.
Arranges with agency staff for orientation to facility and assigned clinical area.
3.
Prepares, plans and posts weekly clinical assignments to reflect ongoing classroom content using the Ocean County College School of Nursing Form.
4.
Develops critical reasoning and thinking skills throughout the clinical day and formally through pre- and post-conference.
5.
Utilizes the Student/Faculty Conference Form to record student conferences concerning clinical practice deficiencies.
6.
Refers students with deficiencies to School of Nursing Skills Lab.
7.
Maintains weekly records of students' progress and formally evaluates student's practice behaviors using prescribed tools at mid- and end of course 8.
Maintains open lines of communication with the Director of Clinical Instruction and section leader and communicates immediately any unsafe student practice behaviors to the Assistant Dean.
9.
Maintains clinical expertise and serves as a professional nursing role model for students.
10.
Performs other duties as assigned.
The Successful Candidate Must Have 1.
Master's Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution of higher education.
2.
Registered Nurse License (RN) issued by the State of New Jersey.
3.
Ability to pass physical exam, drug screening, and document immunizations as required by clinical sites.
4.
At least one year of recent clinical experience.
5.
At least one year of recent clinical experience in nursing clients throughout the health care system.
Even Better If You Have 1.
At least one year of prior clinical teaching experience preferably at the community college level or within a staff development environment.
