This position would be responsible for performing tasks that are essential to helping adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities lead safe and satisfying lives through direct care services and support in their home.
Responsibilities and Duties Assist with daily activities which may include bathing, meal preparation, feeding, toileting, etc.
Assists in the implementation of individual plans and goals Assist individuals in the pursuit of recreational, social and community activities based on their preferences and individual plans Provide assistance and support to promote independence of individuals Ensure the safety and well-being of the individuals Encourage and assist individuals to engage in various activities in the home and community Administer or assist with prescribed medication Perform light homemaking assistance Provide Transportation (as necessary) Possess the ability to follow written and oral instructions Submit required documentation as per agency policy and procedures Demonstrate sound judgment Qualifications and Skills At least 18 years of age High School Diploma or GED Current and valid driver's license Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills Valid Auto Insurance and reliable automobile Able to travel to cases as assigned This job description is not intended to be an total list of experience, skills, efforts, duties, responsibilities, or working conditions associated with the position.
